Christine Chai is the managing partner of Aurilex and a French lawyer admitted to the Paris Bar. She holds a PhD in Law from the University of Munich (Germany), with a particular focus on intellectual property and unfair competition law.


Christine is specialized in complex intellectual property disputes and strategic IP litigation. She advises French and international companies on contentious matters involving both administrative and judicial proceedings, and frequently acts as a central point of coordination in disputes involving parallel actions at national and EU levels, designing and implementing pan-European litigation and enforcement strategies.


She has extensive experience in trademark disputes, including opposition, invalidity and cancellation proceedings before the EUIPO and the French IP office (INPI), as well as significant trademark litigation before French courts. She regularly represents clients in complex brand disputes involving parallel administrative and judicial actions.


Christine is also actively involved in patent litigation, including infringement and validity actions before French courts and the Unified Patent Court (UPC). She advises clients on patent enforcement and defence strategies in technically complex and cross-border disputes, often in coordination with foreign counsel and patent attorneys.


She also regularly advises companies on projects where intellectual property, data protection and regulatory issues intersect, in particular in relation to GDPR compliance and cross-border technology operations.


Christine has been recognized by World Trademark Review 1000 (WTR 1000) as a recommended trademark practitioner in France.


Christine is the author of several academic publications on intellectual property law, including “Das Verhältnis zwischen Marken- und Lauterkeitsrecht beim Schutz von Unternehmenskennzeichen” ((in German, The Relationship between Trade Mark Law and Unfair Competition Law in the Protection of Company Marks ), published by Nomos, 2021.

Mathilde is an attorney-at-law admitted at Paris Bar. She specializes in intellectual property and commercial law, advising and representing clients in both contentious and non-contentious matters.


She assists French and international clients in the protection and enforcement of their intellectual property rights, including trademarks, designs, patents, and copyrights. Her practice includes handling opposition and invalidity proceedings before the EUIPO and INPI, as well as managing disputes involving counterfeiting and unfair competition.


Prior to joining Aurilex, Mathilde worked in several Paris-based law firms, where she built strong expertise in drafting and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements—such as licensing, franchising, distribution, partnership, SaaS contracts, terms and conditions, and IP assignments. She also developed in-depth experience in IP strategy, protection, and litigation.
